Title holders Esperance survived what would have been a stunning upset by Chad's Elect-Sport to qualify for the African Champions League group stage on Friday.
The Tunisians, who drew 1-1 on the road in the first leg of the competition's second round, fell behind in the first half as Elect-Sport took a shock 38th-minute lead.
However, they roared back in the second half to spare their blushes.
Ibrahim Quattara brought them level two minutes past the hour mark and Abdelraouf Benguit struck a precious 83rd-minute winner.
Earlier in the day, South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns also advanced with an emphatic 11-1 win over Seychelles' Côte d'Or to complete a 16-1 aggregate victory.
Angola's Petro Atletico also booked a spot in the group stage after a 1-1 draw away to Ugandan champions Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) lifted them through on the away-goal rule.
