Senegal's Sadio Mané arrived at Hurghada airport on Monday evening ahead of the 2019 CAF Awards, scheduled to be held at Sahl Hashish resort on Tuesday.

The Liverpool winger arrived on a private jet which was also supposed to carry on board his team-mate and fellow nominee Mohamed Salah, who didn't show up, raising doubts Egypt's star might miss the ceremony.

It was reported that Salah didn't announce if he's going to attend the ceremony.

Meanwhile, the third contender Algeria and Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez was reported to miss the ceremony due to the League Cup semi-final between Man City and Manchester United on Tuesday.

Mané is highly expected to clinch the 2019 African Player of the Year, owing to his astonishing season in 2018-2019, winning the Premier League Golden Boot after scoring 22 goals, and scoring 10 goals after participating in 11 matches in the UEFA Champions League which Liverpool won after 14 years of absence.
