Senegal's Sadio Mane beat Egypt's Mohamed Salah and Algeria's Riyad Mahrez to win Africa's best player award in a ceremony that took place in the Egyptian Red Sea bay of Sahl Hasheesh on Tuesday.


The ceremony started at 21:00 Cairo time (19:00 GMT). Here is a list of Africa's top prizes.



- Sadio Mane wins the men's Player of the Year award.


- Nigeria's Asisat Oshoala wins the Women's Player of the Year award. 


- Mazembe's Moïse Katumbi wins the Club President of the Year award. 


- Egypt wins the best Football Association of the Year award.


- Algeria's Nations Cup winning coach Djamel Belmadi wins the Men’s Coach of the Year award. 


- South Africa's Desiree Ellis wins the Women’s Coach of the Year award.


- Africa's best starting XI: Andre Onana, Achraf Hakimi, Kalidou Koulibaly, Joel Matip, Serge Aurier, Riyad Mahrez, Idrissa Gana Gueye, Hakim Ziyech, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.


- Kodjovi Obilale, a former Togo goalkeeper who was injured in a terrorist attack on the team's bus in 2010, is given a special award. 


- Riyad Mahrez wins the best Goal of the Year award.


- Algeria win the African Men’s National Team of the Year award.

- Cameroon win the African Women’s National Team of the Year award. 

- Morocco's Achraf Hakimi wins the African Youth Player of the Year award.

- Algeria winger Youcef Belaïli wins the African Interclubs Player of the Year award.
