Morocco's Wydad Casablanca have assigned Frenchman Sebastien Desabre as the new coach to replace Serbian coach Zoran Manojlovic.
"Sebastien Desabre is the new coach of Wydad AC," the club said in a short statement on their official Facebook page on Wednesday, without disclosing other details.
This will be the second time for Desabre to take charge of the coastal club, as he had led Wydad from October 2016 to January 2017 in 15 matches, won in eight games, tied in six games, and lost in one game only.
The 43-year-old Frenchman took charge of the Egyptian side Pyramids FC from July 2019 until he cancelled his contract by mutual consent last December.
Wydad are in second place with 29 points in the Moroccan domestic league, and are also second placed in Group C in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League with six points.
Desabre is not expected to lead the team in their next match due to the narrow timeframe, as they will face Algeria's USM Alger in the fifth round of the CAF Champions League group stage on Friday.
