Togolese striker Emmanuel Adebayor has urged his teammates at Tottenham to bounce back from their back-to-back defeats and beat Everton on Saturday to resume their title chase.
The Spurs have had an impressive Premier League run this season, but suffered two crucial losses when they were thrashed by Arsenal 5-2 before losing 3-1 to Manchester United.
"We believe we can bounce back. We had some difficult moments in the last two games, but every team in the league will have those moments,” Adebayor told the club’s official website.
"We have to believe in ourselves to keep going. We will win points and lose points, but so will Arsenal, Chelsea, City and United," he added. "We have a big chance to finish in the top three, and we have to keep going until the end of the season."
Tottenham are currently third in the league table with 53 points – 13 behind Manchester City, who are leading the race for their first Premier League title since 1968.
Harry Redknapp’s men enjoyed a morale boost after recovering from a 1-0 down to beat League one side Stevenage 3-1 in the FA Cup last Wednesday.
"It was important for us to show character and personality, especially after going 1-0 down. I'm sure fans would have thought 'not again,' but we changed it around, stayed calm, played our football and won 3-1. Now we're concentrating on Everton,” he concluded.
Adebayor has been in good scoring form this season after finding the nets 11 times in 24 games.
