Zambia coach Herve Renard has announced that he will stay in his post as he turned down an interest from South African football club Orlando Pirates.

“I told you, when I say something I don’t change my mind, you know me,” Renard told Zambian daily newspaper The Post.

“I don’t do interviews by phone. But don’t worry I am in your country. I am in your country for a long time. I think you have your answer now.” He added.

Under the helm of the French coach Renard, Chipolopolo won the 2012 African Cup of Nations Championship then he has emerged as one of the favorites to lead Orlando Pirates, who earlier this week suspended coach Julio Leal.

The 43-year-old tactician confirmed that he will not leave the CAN Champions and he won’t be the one stepping into the South African host seat.

The former Angola coach has recently signed a new two-year deal with Zambia to lead the team throughout their 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign.
