Newcastle continued its unlikely push for Champions League football with a comprehensive 3-0 win over Stoke in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Yohan Cabaye took the plaudits in the Magpies' sixth straight league win that put them fourth ahead of Tottenham, which was up against Queens Park Rangers later Saturday.

Cabaye headed Newcastle in front in the 14th minute after Papiss Cisse's header came back off the bar, and the Frenchman then delivered a perfect pass for Cisse to make it 2-0 in the 18th with his ninth goal in five games.

Cabaye sealed the win in the 57th with a curling left-foot finish from 20 yards (meters) out.
