Egypt and Uganda match to be played on Cairo Military Academy Stadium
The last two matches of Nile Basin Tournament will be played at the Cairo Military Academy Stadium instead of Ismailia's: Egypt's match against Uganda in the final and the third place decider, Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced.
“Changing the stadium came to ease the way to the sports leaders and public figures attending the match,” read a quote on the official EFA website.
The Pharaohs booked their place in the final by smashing Kenya 5-1 in the semi-finals, while Uganda reached the final after defeating Congo 1-0.
The African champions needed a last-gasp goal from forward Mohamed Nagy ‘Gedo’ to break down the stubborn defence of Uganda and claim a 1-0 victory in their second Group A game.
