Libya's national football team announced a 27-man squad for the coming double test against Egypt in the World Cup qualifiers, the Libyan Football Federation announced on Saturday.
Egypt will be hosting rivals Libya in Alexandria’s Borg El-Arab stadium on 8 October in the third round of the World Cup qualifiers, before visiting the Libyan side three days later in Benghazi in the fourth round.
According to a statement by the Libyan federation, the team is due to hold a two-week preparatory camp in Turkey starting from 27 September until 7 October.
Libya are leading Group F with six points after defeating both Gabon 2-1 and Angola 1-0.
Meanwhile, Egypt are currently in second place in the group with four points after defeating Angola 1-0 in the first round and equalising with Gabon 1-1 in the second round.
