Mali join Morocco, Senegal in the 2022 World Cup qualifying playoff

Mali national team have booked their place in the 2022 World Cup qualifying playoff after beating Rwanda 3-0 away from home late on Thursday to join Morocco and Senegal who also booked early place in the final phase.

The Eagles are leading their Group E with 13 points with four points over their rivals Uganda with only one game remaining in the group stage.

Meanwhile, Morocco booked their place in the qualifying playoff after they secured 12 points from four games, eight points ahead of second place Guinea-Bissau, with two games remaing.

Senegal also secured their place after the 1-1 draw with Togo in the 5th round of Group H games late on Thursday to top their group with 13 points, eight points ahead of second placed Togo.
