Coach Hugo Broos has initially announced a preliminary 34-man list last week before making a final selection of 23 players.

The 29-year old pacy winger returned to the Bafana Bafana in March after a nine-month absence due to injuries following his impressive form with Ahly.

He will now lead South Africa against Morocco on 17 June at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Morocco has already qualified for the 2023 AFCON, along with South Africa, as they finished first and second, respectively, in Group K, which only consists of three teams after Zimbabwe's disqualification.

South Africa's upcoming qualifier against Morocco will be followed by Morocco's hosting of Liberia in the final game in September.
