S.African coach Mosimane part ways with Saudi club Al-Ahli.
Mosimane was named in September 2022 the head coach of the Jeddah-based side as a replacement for Uruguayan coach Robert Siboldi, and led them to promotion back to the Saudi top flight.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Ahly coach released a statement on his official Twitter account expressing his utmost satisfaction for leading Al-Ahli, not only, to promotion back to the Saudi Pro League, but also winning the 1st division league title.
The 58-year-old tactician thanked Al-Ahli players and the technical staff for their work, in addition to the club’s supporters whose presence on the stands was a huge motivation to him and the players, wishing the team continuous success in their future endeavors.
The three-time CAF Champions League winner took over at the Saudi club after departing Egyptian giants Ahly following a 20-month stint during which he collected six titles including back-to-back Champions League trophies.
Reports have initially linked the experienced coach, who was named the 2016 CAF Coach of the Year, with a move back to Africa to take the helm of Tanzania's Young Africans, South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs and Morocco’s Rajaa Casablanca.
