Both teams, now joint leaders with a single point, eagerly await the upcoming fixtures. Egypt takes on Djibouti at Cairo Stadium on Thursday, while Burkina Faso clashes with Guinea-Bissau on Friday.
Sierra Leone is gearing up to host Egypt on November 19, while Ethiopia will welcome Burkina Faso just two days later.
The winners from each of the nine groups securing direct qualification while the best runner-up across all groups will earn a chance through a playoff round.
