The 20-year-old has made five appearances for United, scoring one goal so far.

"We have triggered the options on Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, and Hannibal," Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag told reporters on Thursday.

However, the United midfielder will not be part of Tunisia's squad for their 21st AFCON appearance.

"Hannibal told me that he does not feel ready for the African Cup of Nations because he is going through an important situation at his club," Tunisia coach Jalel Kadri said at a press conference in Tunisia earlier this week.

In the Nations Cup, Tunisia will compete in Group E alongside South Africa, Namibia, and Mali.
