The South Africa Football Association (SAFA) has dismissed all reports suggesting that Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos will be leaving the team, stressing that the Belgian coach will continue in his position.

Private Tunisian station, Mosaïque FM, claimed on Monday that Broos is close to taking charge of the Tunisian national team.

"The coach addressed this very question during a recent Zoom press briefing with South African media, and nothing has changed. We are currently in training at the match venue," stated SAFA's head of communications to IOL Sport on Monday.

Broos, who led Cameroon to win the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations title, took up his role with South Africa in May 2021, and his contract extends until the summer of 2026.

He guided South Africa to a third-place finish in the recent Africa Cup of Nations after defeating DR Congo in a penalty shootout.

Meanwhile, Tunisia is in search of a replacement for coach Jalel Kadri, who was relieved of his duties following the Eagles of Carthage's failure to advance past the group stage in the continental competition.
