The Congolese side will face reigning champions Ahly in the second leg of the semi-finals at Cairo International Stadium on Friday, following a goalless draw in the first leg last week.

However, N'Diaye acknowledged Ahly's pedigree, boasting 11 titles, but emphasised his team's unwavering ambition.

"We are aware of Ahly's history and their talented squad, but we are here to win," N'Diaye said at a pre-match press conference.

"We acknowledge the presence of the crowd and Ahly's talented players, but our objective is to emerge victorious."

The 67-year-old Senegalese tactician reflected on the first-leg stalemate, admitting that his side did not perform at their best.

However, he assured that they are fully prepared to deliver a strong performance in the return leg, despite the challenges posed by the ground staff and the crowd.

Addressing injury concerns, N'Diaye downplayed their impact, stating, "Like Ahly, we have some players sidelined due to injuries, but top clubs can overcome such obstacles.

“Our goal remains winning the championship. The prospect of facing the best team excites us, and we firmly believe we have what it takes to reclaim the title," he said.

TP Mazembe have previously secured the prestigious African tournament title five times, with their most recent triumph occurring in 2015.
