After dealing a 2-1 away loss in the first leg last week, Cairo giants Zamalek will be hosting their Moroccan counterparts in the second leg of the prestigious continental tournament final.
“We won the first leg and the return match will be a difficult one. The fitter side especially on the mental side will be the closest to win,” Chaabani said in the pre-match press conference on Saturday.
“We are technically ready for Zamalek and we are working hard to concentrate on the game. We have remarkable players in the attacking line who can make the difference,” the coach added.
Chaabani said that his team gained big experiences in the last period especially after winning the Confederation Cup title twice in the last five years and also after playing big opponents at the domestic level.
In Saturday’s presser, Zamalek coach Jose Gomes said that the Egyptian side is a bigger club than RS Berkane pushing Chaabani to react fiercely.
“I am surprised from these declarations as he should pay more respect for his opponent. The proof is that Pyramids FC, a club with no fan base, is currently leading the Egyptian League table and also newcomer club Modern Future FC is delivering outstanding football,” the coach explained.
“We prepared all scenarios for the game and our players should be calm amid the expected support of the opponent’s supporters in the stands,” he concluded.
Zamalek needs a one-goal victory to claim their second Confederation Cup title.
