Chelsea's Nigerian midfielder John Obi Mikel has aplogised for a mistake that allowed Juventus to snatch a 2-2 draw against holders Chelsea on Wednesday at Stamford Bridge. With just ten minutes remaining, Mikel carelessly lost the ball – with the result that Juventus' striker scored the equaliser.

"If I want me to make up an excuse, I can," Mikel was quoted as saying by France Football magazine. "But, for me, I gave the ball away. I put my hands up, we move on. I'm sorry about the mistake, but there are no excuses."
