CAF announce venues of CAF Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Sunday the Egyptian venues that will host the CAF Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations later in April.

Egypt will host the continental tournament from 27 April to 18 May with 13 teams.

According to CAF’s official website, all matches of the 17th edition of the youth tournament will be played on three stadiums in three cities: Cairo, Ismailia, and Suez.

Meanwhile, the opening game between hosts Egypt and Zambia will be played at Cairo International Stadium on 27 April.

The tournament will be played in a three-group format. Group A includes five teams, while Groups B and C feature four teams each.

Group A, which includes hosts Egypt, will play games at Ismailia’s Suez Canal stadium, while Suez stadium will host Group B games.

Finally, Group C games will be played at Cairo’s 30 June stadium.

The top two teams from each group and the best third-placed teams will progress to the quarter-finals.

The four semi-finalists will qualify to represent Africa at the FIFA U-20 World Cup Chile 2025.

The groups for the CAF Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations, Egypt 2025, are as follows:

Group A: Egypt, Zambia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania

Group B: Nigeria, Tunisia, Kenya, Morocco

Group C: Senegal, Central African Republic, DR Congo, Ghana
