In Group H, Tunisia remain leaders with 19 points, seven ahead of second-placed Namibia. Liberia stays third with 10 points, level with fourth-placed Equatorial Guinea.

The Carthage Eagles dominated their game, opening the scoring early through Hazem Mastouri. They added a second goal in the second half when midfielder Ferjani Sassi headed home as Elias Saad sealed the victory with a free-kick strike, securing their spot at the top of the group.

Algeria secured a vital 3-1 victory over Botswana, boosting their chances of automatic qualification.

Mohamed Amoura put the Desert Warriors ahead in the 33rd minute with a well-placed header. Botswana equalized just before halftime, thanks to Tebogo Kopelang.

However, Baghdad Bounedjah scored twice late in the game, lifting Algeria to 18 points in Group G, now sitting six points ahead of Mozambique, who have a game in hand, and nine points above third-placed Botswana.

Cameroon kept their World Cup hopes alive with a 3-0 win over Eswatini.

The visitors' disastrous start saw Sihlangu Semnikati score an own goal in the sixth minute.

Cameroon responded with a second goal from Georges-Kévin N'Koudou in the 26th minute, then sealed victory with a third from Arthur Avom Ebong just three minutes later.

Cameroon head into a top-of-the-table clash on Tuesday against Group D leaders Cape Verde.

In Group I, Mali moved into third place with 12 points after a 3-0 win over Comoros at Stade du 26 Mars in Bamako.

Dorgeles Nene scored in the 28th minute to give Mali an early lead. Goals from Kamory Doumbia and Lassana Coulibaly in the second half cemented their victory.

Mali are now tied with Comoros and one point behind second-placed Madagascar, and four points behind leaders Ghana.
