Ivory Coast striker Drogba
Senegal and Ivory Coast showdown in the 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifiers has been abandoned after crowd troubles in the Stade Leopold Senghor on Saturday.
Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba scored twice in 52 and 71 to give Ivory Coast the upper hand of the game but the game was called off after 70 minutes when the home fans started to hurl firecrackers at their own players and visiting fans, forcing the two sides and coaching staffs to take refuge in the centre circle.
Ivory Coast defeated Senegal in the first leg 4-2.
The Elephants are expected to be awarded a win and qualify for the CAN 2013 finals.
