Fiorentina's Malian midfielder Mohamed Sissoko on Thursday said he wanted to convince coach Vicenzo Montella to include him on the team's starting list, stressing his desire to demonstrate his ability to play as a regular team member.

The 28-year-old, who was loaned out from French side Paris Saint-Germain to Fiorentina last January, has played only three times since his arrival.

"The bench has been a stimulus for me," Sissoko was quoted as saying by football-italia. "When I'm called upon, I will show that I belong among the other players."

The international midfielder has spent the last season and a half with French League leaders PSG following spells with Juventus, Liverpool, Valencia and Auxerre.
