Senegalese football icon El-Hadji Diouf signs four-month contract deal with Guinean side AS Kaloum

Senegalese striker El-Hadji Diouf has signed a four-month contract deal with Guinean side AS Kaloum, the club's president announced on Tuesday.

According to Guineefoot, the 32-year-old striker will arrive in Conakry next Friday to finalise the deal.

AS Kaloum, who are trained by Senegalese coach Amara Traoré, are currently seventh in the Guinean League table.

The club have won 12 league titles overall, with the last in 2007.

Formerly with Liverpool, Bolton, the Blackburn Rovers and Scotland's Rangers, Diouf spent the last season with championship side Leeds United.

The former international striker shone in the 2002 World Cup when he helped Senegal reach the tournament's quarterfinal.

He was named twice – in 2001 and 2002 – as African footballer of the year.
