TP Mazembe of DR Congo wins 3-0 over FUS Rabat of Morocco in second match of Group stage in CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday

DR Congo's TP Mazembe defeated FUS Rabat of Morocco 3-0 in the second day of the Group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup in Lubumbashi on Saturday.

TP Mazembe made use of the home and fans advantage and managed to take an early lead over their visitors FUS Rabat, topping their Group B with four points after two games.

Ghanaian striker Solomon Asante scored the opener only five minutes after the start, with Mbwana Samatta doubling the score in the first 12 minutes.

Cheibane Traore netted the third goal for hosts TP Mazembe on 55 minutes to finish the game with a 3-0 win.

TP Mazembe are scheduled to face CA Bizert in Tunisia on 17 August, while FUS will host ES Setif from Algeria on the same day.

Later on Saturday Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia will face Ethiopian St. George in Group B.
