Four of Ghana's star players have settled their differences with their Football Association and are set to resume their international careers, according to official sources.

Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari, who both play for Italian club AC Milan, and brothers Andre and Jordan Ayew of Marseille, could all come back into the reckoning for Ghana's World Cup qualifier against Zambia on 6 September.

Boateng and the Ayew brothers have written to the Ghana Football Association "asking to be reintegrated" into the national side, having all announced they no longer wished to be considered.

Muntari, meanwhile, who was dropped for having criticised coach Kwesi Appiah for substituting him in the 2-0 win over Lesotho in June, has written to the coach to apologise.

Ghana are currently top of their World Cup qualifying group wikth 12 points, one ahead of Zambia, with Lesotho and Sudan on two points each.
