"We have called up Moses for this weekend's match against Ethiopia after we made a couple of changes in the squad," said Nigeria assistant coach Simon Kalika.

"Moses was on our standby list and after we released two of our call-ups to the Olympic team who will also be in action this weekend, we decided to invite."

Moses' agent, Tony Finnigan, disclosed that the Wigan ace will join the rest of the Nigeria squad along with West Ham striker Victor Obinna on Monday.

The player was picked for last month's friendly against Sierra Leone but stayed away.

Nigeria coach Samson Siasia visited Moses in England in December and received assurances from the player he will play for Nigeria.

The 20-year-old Moses, who can play as a winger or striker, has represented England at U-17, U-19 and U-21 levels.
