Aston Villa brought Manchester City to earth with a 3-2 victory in the English Premier League on Saturday with Andreas Weimann scoring the winner in the 75th minute.

In its first league game since humbling rival Manchester United 4-1, City went ahead 2-1 with a close-range header from Edin Dzeko in the 56th before Villa hit back with two goals in two minutes.

The host equalized with a free kick from Leandro Bacuna in the 73rd and Weimann grabbed the victory with a right-footed shot from outside the area.

Yaya Toure opened the scoring for City in the 45th and Karim El Ahmadi equalized for Villa six minutes after the interval.

City provisionally drops to at least fifth in the league, with Villa moving to ninth.
