West Bromwich Albion midfielder Stephane Sessegnon has been banned from driving for 20 months after admitting charges of drunk driving.
The Benin international also pleaded guilty to driving without a licence and without insurance.
Sessegnon, who was playing for Sunderland when he was arrested in August while his teammates were playing a League Cup match, was also fined 7,605 pounds ($12,200).
Sessegnon, a former Paris Saint-Germain player, was warned he could be jailed if he is caught driving during the ban.
