Ghana's goalkeeper Richard Kingson
Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Badu believes that the Black Stars will benefit from keeper Richard Kingson's return ahead of the Pharaohs clash in the first leg of World Cup play-off, set to be played on 15 October in Kumasi.
Kingson was called up to the Ghanaian squad for the first time in two years, following his strong performances with Cypriot top flight Doxa Katokopiabut.
Ghana's keeper Fatau Dauda has held a place in the team's starting XI since the 2013 African Cup of Nations, but he has come under fire after his shaky performance during Ghana's 2-1 win over Zambia in a World Cup group stage decider last month. Several reports suggested Kingson would return ahead of the crucial clash against Egypt.
"He is a wonderful goalkeeper of high quality," Badu was quoted as saying by Ghanasoccernet on Thursday.
"We all know what he [Kingson] has done for us before and therefore having such a quality goalkeeper in our team is a major plus for us."
