Ghana Coach Kwesi Appiah believes the World Cup qualification is yet to be ensured in spite of the hammering 6-1 victory over Egypt in the first leg of the qualifying playoff.
"We should not underestimate Egypt and their strength after this result. We should prepare well for the return leg and play like we didn't win by six goals here in Kumasi," Appiah told reporters during the post-match press conference.
Ghana claimed their biggest ever victory against Egypt, leaving the Pharaohs with a mountain to climb in the second leg scheduled for 19 November in Cairo.
The Black Stars are on course for a third consecutive World Cup berth. Their powerful display on Tuesday suggests they might go beyond the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
Ghana reached the quarter-finals in South Africa 2010.
