Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata believes that his team's encounter against Galatasaray will be very emotional for Ivorian striker Didier Drogba.

"Didier was a legend here. I guess that he would be very excited about coming back. He did a lot of great things for this club and scored a lot of very important goals. In fact, he scored probably the most important goals in the history of this club," the Spaniard told the club's official website.

The 35-year old striker spent eight years at Chelsea leading them to 10 titles including a Champions League title in 2012 and three Premier League trophies.

His former coach and mentor Jose Mourinho has always praised him and wished to be paired with him again in the Champions League tie saying that he deserves a warm ovation.

From his part Drogba seemed delighted with the draw.

"What a draw... I'm the luckiest man in this competition," he wrote on his official Instagram account. "In both games I'll be playing home! See you in few months."

Galatasaray will host the Blues in February while the return leg in London a month after.
