Mali striker Kanoute sidelined for three weeks

Sevilla's Mali striker Frederic Kanoute will be out of action for up to three weeks after tearing a right thigh muscle, the Spanish Primer Liga club said on Tuesday.

Kanoute, who has scored nine league goals this season, picked up the injury in Sunday's 3-1 victory over Real Zaragoza, when he was replaced by Brazilian attacking midfielder Renato after 60 minutes.
