Valenciennes FC striker Abdul Majeed Waris said on Monday he is enjoying playing in the Ligue 1, adding he prefers to make his loan deal with Valenciennes permanent.
Waris of Ghana signed a six-month loan-deal with Valenciennes, where he scored four goals in eight matches since his arrival from Russian side FC Spartak Moscow last January.
"Now that I am in France I really like it here," Waris was quoted as saying by Ghanasoccernet on Monday.
"I would like to stay for a bit longer, but I am only supposed to be here for six months and Spartak still own me."
"So I just have to continue working hard and see what happens in the next six months."
Valenciennes are third from the bottom in the league table with 25 points.
