Liverpool says it has agreed a deal in principle with Bayer Leverkusen to sign midfielder Emre Can.

Liverpool says the deal is subject to documentation being completed but the Reds are hopeful to make Can their second significant signing of the summer following England striker Rickie Lambert's arrival at Anfield from Southampton.
