Saudi Arabia's Al Ittihad have sacked their coach Khalid Al Koroni after the two-time former winners suffered a heavy defeat in the AFC Champions League quarter-finals.
The decision was announced after the 2004 and 2005 champions went down 5-1 over two legs to the United Arab Emirates' Al Ain.
Al Koroni, who had been in charge since March, was temporarily replaced by under-16s coach Amro Anwar "until we recruit a new manager", a club statement said.
