Argentine star Angel Di Maria is reportedly far from happy with his Manchester United move, having admitted to a friend he made a mistake by switching to Old Trafford last summer, according to Metro.
Despite an auspicious start to his English Premier League stint, Di Maria has failed to emulate his early performances for United, with his recent dip in form partly blamed on manager Louis van Gaal for not deploying the ex-Real Madrid man in his ideal positions.
"Di Maria has confessed to someone at Real Madrid that he regrets joining Manchester United," Spanish journalist Manuel ‘Manolete’ Esteban was quoted as saying to Spanish TV show La Goleada.
Di Maria, who was part of World Cup finalists Argentine squad last summer in Brazil, has scored three goals and bagged nine assists for the Reds so far this season.
Even so, the 27-year-old is reportedly unhappy and looking forward to leaving the club in the summer.
