Jurgen Klopp agreed Thursday to become Liverpool's new manager and was expected at the club later in the day, British media said.
The English Premier League side have been looking for a new boss since Brendan Rogers was sacked on Sunday. The former Borussia Dortmundcoach had been the hot favourite from the start.
Sky television said Klopp had agreed to become manager. The Daily Mail newspaper said Klopp would sign a deal under which he would earn four million pounds ($6 million) a year.
Several of Rogers' backroom staff left Liverpool on Thursday in anticipation of the new manager arriving.
