Alexander Pato scored in his debut as Chelsea defeated 10-man, managerless Aston Villa 4-0 in a dominant display Saturday in the English Premier League.
The on-loan Brazilian struck soon after coming on as a substitute, a fine penalty after he was brought down by Aly Cissokho. Two goals from Pedro and a neat Ruben Loftus-Cheek finish sealed what was an easy victory for Guus Hiddink's side. Alan Hutton was sent off late in the second half for a second yellow card.
The result provisionally moves Chelsea into ninth in the league table with 44 points, 6 points off a European place ahead of the rest of the weekend's games.
Aston Villa remains at the bottom of the table and could be relegated next weekend.
