Auckland City FC sealed a place at the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan in December by beating New Zealand rivals Team Wellington 3-0 Saturday to win the Oceania Champions League.

Solomon Islands striker Micah Lea'alfa struck twice for Auckland, opening the scoring in the second minute and clinching the win 10 minutes from fulltime after Clayton Lewis had added the second goal in the 67th minute.

Auckland were unbeaten in six matches in the tournament, winning the Oceania Champions League for the eighth time and avenging their loss to Wellington in the final of New Zealand's domestic league.

In 2014 they became the first Oceania team to reach the semifinals of the world club tournament, finishing third.
