The Portugal forward did not join his teammates in training as he recovers from an ankle injury sustained in Wednesday’s 1-0 Champions League win at Dinamo Zagreb, with Ronaldo needing three stitches to seal a cut on his right ankle.

Ronaldo has scored four goals in Madrid’s first two victories of the season.

Turkey midfielder Hamit Altintop finally joined his new teammates and trained for the first time since joining from Bayern Munich. Altintop underwent back surgery soon after joining and has yet to play.
