CAS says it scheduled bin Hammam’s challenge to the Asian Football Confederation, which he led since 2002, on Jan. 23.

Bin Hammam wants to stop the AFC appointing an interim president while he fights his life ban imposed by FIFA.

Chinese official Zhang Jilong has taken charge of the Asian governing body and bin Hammam’s vacated seat on FIFA’s executive committee.

CAS previously rejected bin Hammam’s request for an injunction blocking Zhang’s appointment.

Bin Hammam also asked CAS last month to overturn his FIFA ban. No hearing date was set.
