Manchester United duo Paul Pogba and Amad Diallo became the latest Premier League players to publicly support Palestine amid the ongoing Israeli bombardment of Gaza, holding the country's flag following the end of a game against Fulham on Tuesday.
French midfielder Pogba and Ivorian winger Diallo hoisted the Palestinian flag while applauding their fans after United were held to a 1-1 draw by Fulham.
"Let's keep our world safe and free from violence. Pray for Palestine," Pogba, 28, said on his Facebook page.
The gesture came just three days after Leicester City duo Hamza Choudhury and Wesley Fofana also held a Palestinian flag after their side defeated Chelsea 1-0 in the FA Cup final.
"Allow me, on behalf of the Palestinian government and people, to extend our profoundest gratitude that, in your moment of FA Cup triumph, Hamza Choudhury and Wesley Fofana, used the historic occasion to show solidarity with the plight of the Palestinian people," Palestinian ambassador to the United Kingdom Husam Zomlot said in a letter.
"Carrying the Palestinian flag on the stage of one of football's most august cup competitions is a show of support that is reverberating all over Palestine."
Other players have also publicly voiced their support of Palestine, including Egypt and Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny.
Israeli airstrikes on the coastal enclave of Gaza has killed at least 213 Palestinians as of Tuesday.
