Football fans in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) have been invited to follow the Italy's top-flight soccer league matches for free after the Serie A announced on Friday that they will live-stream some games on their own Arabic-language channel on YouTube.
The Italy Serie A faces a stalemate over the sale of TV rights in the MENA region after Qatari broadcaster beIn has been reluctant to join the tender process.
"Italy Serie A matches will be streamed on the Arabic-language channel on YouTube, starting from Saturday August 21 in the Middle East and North Africa," read a statement on Serie A official website released on Friday.
"Only five games will be broadcasted for free on the channel for the football fans live in this region,"
Italy's top-flight soccer league is set to start on Saturday 21 August with a big rivalry between title holders Inter Milan, Juventus, who have Cristiano Ronaldo in their squad and Roma who recently signed Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho.
