The Sudanese national team played to a goalless draw at home against Group leaders Angola but managed to qualify for the continental tournament by finishing second in Group F with eight points, six points behind Angola.
Niger, who clinched a 2-1 victory over Ghana away from home, finished third in the group, falling short of Sudan by just one point.
Sudan capitalized on their draw to advance and make their tenth participation in the continental competition.
Ghana's dismal performance in the qualifiers continued as the Black Stars failed to qualify for the Nations Cup for the first time in 20 years, finishing at the bottom of the group with only three points out of a possible 18.
In Group D, Benin secured their place in the Nations Cup with a goalless draw against Libya.
They sit in second place in the group with eight points, level with third-placed Rwanda, who surprised leaders Nigeria with a 2-1 win in Lagos on Monday.
Benin secured their qualification based on a superior head-to-head record.
Libya ended in the last place with only five points.
The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to take place in Morocco in December."
