Real Madrid forward Angel Di Maria has expressed admire of his fellow Argentine teammate Lionel Messi of Barcelona after Chili 2-1 victory in World Cup qualifiers.
"He's a phenomenon, what else can I say? It's a pleasure to play with him. He makes everything easier for his team-mates. He's always available to receive a pass and he can do marvels with the ball," Di Maria was quoted as saying by El Espectador.
Lionel Messi and Gonzalo Higuain struck within minutes of each other half an hour into the match, taking their personal tallies to seven, with Chile pulling one back through substitute Felipe Gutierrez in added time at the end of the game.
Di Maria also hailed Jose Mourinho, stressing that the Madrid coach is his favorite trainer.
"He's the best coach I've had in my career. He's highly professional, he supports you at all times and he teaches you. That's vital for a footballer."
Argentina have 20 points from nine matches, three more than Ecuador, who drew 1-1 away at Venezuela, and four ahead of Colombia, who have a game in hand.
