Portugal has moved up to fifth in the monthly FIFA rankings after Cristiano Ronaldo's goals helped the country beat Sweden in the World Cup playoffs.
Portugal jumped nine places in the standings, while the United States dropped one to No. 14.
Spain leads an unchanged top four ahead of Germany, Argentina and Colombia. After Portugal, it's Uruguay at No. 6 followed by Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands and Brazil.
Egypt jumped 13 positions despite World Cup disqualification to be number 38.
