Egyptians in Sinai's Sharm El-Sheikh bustled excitedly to take commemorative photographs with England and Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, who is currently in the Red Sea resort recuperating in the warmer climate from a recurrent groin injury.

English Premier League giants Manchester United sent star striker Rooney to Egypt along with a fitness coach to recover from the injury that sidelined him from his team's squad last month.

The temperature in Sharm El-Sheikh is ranging between 13 and 25 °C this week, according to forecasts.

Manchester United are dropping points in the English Premier League this season, currently seventh in the team table with 37 points after losing six games. The team's management hopes to have Rooney back in the squad as soon as possible, to retain Man United's place in the top echelon of the league.
