Barcelona paid €95m to sign their Brazilian star Neymar from Santos, the Spanish newspaper El Mundo reported on Monday.
Neymar joined Barca last summer from Brazilian side Santos with a reported fee of €57m, but El Mundo claims it is in possession of certain financial documents which reveal new surprises.
The newspaper says that the deal included extra clauses and fees that brought the deal closer to the world-record €100m fee from Gareth Bale's move to Real Madrid in the same summer.
The extra fees in the Neymar deal include €2.5m to the player to help impoverished children in Sao Paolo's favelas, paying Neymar's father 5 percent of the €54m contract (€2.6m) and an additional €17.1m to Santos in federal rights.
The other clauses also set aside €9m for Neymar to appear in two friendly games against Santos and a final €10m signing fee, bringing the total of the transfer to €95m.
The 21-year old Neymar has so far scored six goals in 16 appearances with Barcelona this season.
