Egypt will host the 2015 Men's World Team Squash Championships instead of Kuwait, Al-Ahram daily newspaper reported on Tuesday.

It will be the third time that Egypt hosts the prestigious tournament, which will take place on 12 to 19 December. Egypt hosted the tournament twice before in 1985 and 1999.

Kuwait was suspended from hosting the international event by the International Olympic Committee due to government interference in the local games committee.

The Egyptian Squash Association is expected to hold a press conference in the coming days to announce its preparations for the event.

The tournament, held once every two years and organised by the World Squash Federation, will witness the participation of 25 teams from five confederations; Africa, America, Asia, Europe and Oceania.
