Egypt’s handball team coach Marawan Ragab announced on Tuesday a 16-man squad that will participate in the 2017 World Men's Handball Championship in France from 11 to 29 January.
The six-time African champions, Egypt, will be competing at the prestigious tournament in Group D alongside Denmark, Bahrain, Sweden, Argentina and Qatar.
Amid final preparations for the World Championship, the Pharaohs will play in a friendly tournament starting from 4 January alongside Denmark (the hosts), Hungary and Iceland.
Egypt will face Qatar in the World Championship opening match on 13 January.
